WHAT WE BELIEVE

OUR CHURCH
We are a non-denominational, multi-generational, multi-ethnic church that believes the Bible is divinely inspired (2 Timothy 3:16, 17) and is the Word of God. There is only one true and living God who is manifested in three eternal and equal persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 3:17, 18). We base everything upon the truth of Scripture and devote ourselves to the teaching of sound doctrine.
OUR SAVIOR
We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit (Matthew 1:18), virgin-born (Matthew 1:25), sinless (Hebrews 4:15), died on the cross for our sins, was raised bodily from the dead on the third day, is at the right hand of the Father and is coming again (1 Corinthians 15:3,4; John 14:3; Romans 8:34; Revelation 22:20). Jesus is the Son of God, God incarnate, and Lord of all (John 1:1,14; Romans 10:9; Acts 10:36).
OUR SITUATION
Man is a sinner (Romans 3:23) and is saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8, 9). Man’s response to God’s grace includes repentance (Acts 17:30), publicly confessing Jesus as Lord (Romans 10:9, Matthew 10:32, 33) and baptism by immersion (Acts 2:38; Acts 10:47). Every Christian is a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17) and is indwelt, empowered and gifted by the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:9) to become like Christ in character and deed.
OUR PURPOSE
Christ is the head and Chief Shepherd of the church (Colossians 1:18; 1 Peter 5:4). The purpose of the church is to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20). We understand every believer to be an ambassador (2 Corinthians 5:20) and minister (Ephesians 4:11, 12) of the gospel to help win our community to Jesus Christ. The Church should continually devote itself to the apostles teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread (communion or Lord’s Supper) and prayer (Acts 2:42, Acts 20:7). Our local church recognizes two offices of leadership known as elders (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-7) and deacons (1 Timothy 3:8-13; Philippians 1:1).
